Floral Essence

Floral Essence

I love the beauty of flowers and their ability to be used on a wide range of occasions cards, and Stampin' Up's Floral Essence does not disappoint. Used with the coordinating Perennial Flower Punch, this bundle will be a mainstay of any card maker's supplies.

Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) has a mix of brilliant and subtle colors softened by an impressionism style art work that is gorgeous used with the Floral Essence stamp set and Perennial Flower Punch. I began with a Blackberry Bliss card base with the second layer in Purple Posy, which isn't even listed in the catalog as coordinating with this designer series paper, but it does go beautifully with it. My third layer uses the Perennial Essence DSP, but I cut it so there would be space between the top and bottom of the card for my Thank You sentiment from Daisy Delight stamp set. I wanted to decorate the edges of the DSP toward the center where the sentiment was, so I used a retired set of dies - Detailed Leaves - I loved this edgelit.

To make the flower, I stamped two sets of leaves from the Floral Essence stamp set on Vellum Cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink, let them dry well, then punched them out with the Perennial Flower Punch. I layered the two together with Glue Dots and then layered them on top of a punched piece of Blackberry Bliss to offset the velum flower.

This is a truly beautiful and versatile set. I hope you enjoyed this card today. Please feel free to contact me for any questions or information. I enjoyed capturing my crafting moments today, and I hope you capture your moments too!
