Woven Heirlooms

Woven Heirlooms Birthday Card

One of my dearest friends had her birthday recently, and I wanted to make a really special card for this milestone birthday of hers. She loves purple, and though this patterned paper is a Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper that is retired, I knew she would love it, so I used it. I thoroughly enjoy using all my Stampin' Up products despite whether they are retired or not, and I think it shows the company's thoughtfulness in how their products are made to go together year after year despite when someone begins using the products.

To begin, I used Mossy Meadow cardstock as my base and then added a layer of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I then added the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). But the star of the show is the Stampin Cut and Emboss Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folder. The stamped image came from Butterfly Wishes and the sentiment came from a recently retired set called Part of My Story, which I embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I added just a touch of Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon to soften the transition from the DSP to cardstock.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for my friend and thinking about what a wonderful person she is while making this - I definitely captured my moments today, and I hope you capture yours too! Please feel free to contact me for any information about this card. Thank you for visiting today!
