Happy Fall!

Happy Fall!

FINALLY, fall-like temperatures are upon us and it actually makes sense to make a fall card! Fall is one of my favorite times of year; I love fall colors, the weather, and taking walks in all of the colorful splendor. I didn't want to wait until Thanksgiving to make a fall card for family and friends, so early October seems like the perfect time.

This card uses Stampin' Up! products that are ones I'll always keep, even if they retire. I used Cajun Craze for the cardstock base. I stamped Birch Background stamp in Crumb Cake onto a 4 x 4 1/4 inch piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I had a piece of 4 1/8 x 4 3/8 in Crumb Cake matted below. Make sure to leave enough room at the bottom of the card for the letters in FALL - I recommend cutting them out first and placing them there before adhering the Birch Background piece.

Using Seasonal Layers Dies, I cut out three solid leaves in Mossy Meadow. The detailed leaves were cut from Terracotta Tile, Crushed Curry, and Real Red. I adhered each of the detailed leaves to the solid leaves.

The letters for FALL were die cut with Hand Lettered Prose Dies and adhered. Happy was stamped in Mossy Meadow from Well Said stamp set and punched using the Classic Label punch. To Shorten the label, slide each end of the label individually through the punch shortening the label to your desired length. I adhered Happy to a circle of Linen Thread to look like a mini wreath.

The leaves and letters took the most time, but otherwise the card came together quickly. I made multiples of this for friends and family that I just wanted to send a "happy fall" greeting too. I enjoyed capturing my fall moment and hope you capture your special moments today too! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to me.
