Perfectly Plaid and Pine Tree Punch

Perfectly Plaid and Pine Tree Punch

Stampin' Up nailed it with the Wrapped in Plaid Suit in the 2019 Holiday Catalog! Perfectly Plaid stamp set, Pine Tree Punch, Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Shaded Spruce /Gold Striped Ribbon combine for a classic, beautiful card that is so easy to make.  I'll be making 30 cards like this, and because of the versatility in the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty DSP, each card can have a different look. If you don't have a die cut machine for the two die cut pieces on my card, you could use a large circle punch or cut rectangular pieces and just use the punch for a faster, easier version of this card.

I started with a Shaded Spruce card base with the first matted piece a piece of the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty DSP - navy chosen here, but there are many different plaid options. Using Stitched Shapes and Stitched Rectangles, I die cut the oval and rectangle pieces using Gold Foil cardstock.

Using Delicata Metallic Ink - Golden Glitz, I stamped three Christmas trees from Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set onto Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy cardstock. I punched the trees out using the Pine Tree Punch and adhered them to the oval Gold Foil piece. If time is not a concern for you, you could achieve a more vibrant look by using Gold Embossing Powder instead of the Delicata Metallic Ink, but because I'll be making 30, I chose to use Golden Glitz ink.

I stamped the sentiment "Hope that your busy year comes together in Christmas Cheer" in Night of Navy ink onto Shaded Spruce cardstock and die cut that piece, again, using Stitched Rectangles dies.

I used Snail to adhere the pieces - I'm not using Dimensionals on this card because I want to be able to make them relatively quickly, but also because I feel they will mail better with limited dimension to them.

I loved the Shaded Spruce and Gold Ribbon for the added touch to really finish this card.
